Geography

Now a century after the Spellplague, the Gray Vale is growing again as a place of growth and trade. Out of the ashes of a dozen ruined cities that once lined the Grayflow River, two towns are growing once again. Loudwater is the largest bastion of civilization in the Vale. It’s stone and wood walls hold nearly 3,000 residents and many hundreds more live on farms for miles around. The town of Llorkh lays three-days ride to the east of Loudwater, and while boasting a similar population, poor management has prevented equal prosperity.

The Gray Vale is bounded by the High Forest to the north, the Graypeak Mountains to the east, the High Moor to the south, and the Star Mounts to the northwest. The Grayflow river flows through the center of the Vale, west towards the port town of Daggerford on the Sword Coast.
